We are ready and eager for another school year at Destiny Urban Academy. There is much anticipation in the air as faculty and staff work to prepare an environment that provides the loving care and guidance students need to attain educational success.
Many of the young people come to us from adverse and negative conditions. Society has given up on them and their future looks dark. They have difficulty “getting their footing” because of instability and uncertainties surrounding their lives. The road they must travel to achieve success is long; and filled with curves, “potholes” and detours.
Destiny Urban Academy is in the business of educating, encouraging, and instilling hope – one life at a time. Teachers are being used by God to help young people navigate around the road blocks of illiteracy, poverty, gang activity, and fatherlessness. What a joy it is to see young people who once were defeated and without hope, overcome their circumstances and prepare for lives as productive citizens. Now they believe it is possible to have a bright future.
The significant work Destiny is accomplishing in helping at-risk youth reach their God-given destiny is made possible by the caring expressions of love of our donors. They are the ones who believe in the vision and mission of our school.
